The Best of 2016 wedding Photography

Sarah Sadler

Here I am again...writing yet another yearly round up post.

And as I sit here in my office with a coffee in hand...wondering where the past 12 months have gone, I cannot help but feel so incredibly blessed and lucky ♥

From the bottom of my heart truly blessed...

You see this month Sarah Janes Photography is 9 years old...not only do I feel blessed for 2016, but for every-one of the 195 couples' that I have had the honour to have photographed over the years

Wedding season started last March with the wedding of the beautiful Kelsey & Liam at Peckforton Castle..... April I was off to Bradford for Chrys & Finn's small informal wedding... May took me to Chester for a town hall wedding of Lauren & Ian, followed by a boat trip along the river to Eccleston Village Hall... Rich and I jumped on a plane to beautiful Italy for Jenna & Steven’s Tuscan Vineyard wedding at Podere Le Meraviglie with Wedding Italy...June I photographed the beautiful Hand-fasting ceremony of Jessica & Lynden at one of my all-time favourite venues Kings acre Farm in Chester...and then the following day I was at the very glamorous wedding of Clair & Peter at the Chester Grosvenor, with a drinks reception held within the beautiful secret garden at Chester cathedral...July was in Shropshire for the fabulous Farm wedding of Izzy & Gary before the madness of Wedding season truly kicked in from August to October

August I was at Tower hill Barns for Kirsty & Stephens beautiful wedding...then to Thornton Manor for the incredible wedding of Billie-Jo & Phil, to a garden wedding of Tracy & David at Ness Gardens

September I was back at Tower Hill barns {I have four weddings there this year!} for the perfect wedding of Natalie & Dan, then to Kinmal Manor in North Wales for the wedding of Caitlin & Peter.....and then off we flew to Malta for an amazingly rainy wedding of Lauren & Gabrielle ♥ {god I love these girls} at Seabank Resort

October as the sun was starting to come lower in the sky it was the wedding of Alison & Phil on the Wirral and then a road trip down to London for Manuela & Andrews’s perfect wedding at Oaks Farm Weddings

And November...the last wedding of the year... was the beautiful wedding of Rachel & John at 30 James Street Liverpool....

I feel blessed for the friendships made....each couple has been just a pure joy for me

I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for entrusting Sarah Janes to photograph and story tell your equally, unique & perfect weddings

As well as this utter perfection, as if this was not enough, this was my 1st year of holding photographer workshops....what started as one workshop...grew into four workshops, then from these four a one big two day workshop in October {A massive thank you to Kings acre Farm for allowing me to host the 2nd day at your perfect location}. A little community of photographers has been built up from the back of this, who even now give each other nothing but love and support... from these workshops I also long-term mentored two photographers, for 6 months and for 3….

I cannot put into words the absolute {totally unexpected} joy I have had from this....I am so proud of each photographer that attended a blessed by the new friendships made ...and to the two photographers that I have mentored long-term...I cannot put into words the love and joy I feel by how much you have grown as a see you grow into the artist you should be, to have taken out the fear and overthinking and just felt it, you are on your way to being the unique photographer you are meant to be..and I am so proud of you

This year also took Sarah Janes Photography/Red Shoe to Surrey, Kent and Birmingham where I was privileged and honoured to have documented 6 families for the utterly amazing Home-Start...showcasing, through images and stories, just how much this charity changes lives of their families, Home-Start is such an impactful charity, one you cannot help but feel passionate about once you hear the work that they and their Volunteers do...

I also attended {and gave a little speech} at the launch event for the #KYNCalendar where I, at my other baby/love/business Red Shoe, photographed 11 women over two days for a beautiful and incredible calendar for two amazing Charities, Kicks count and Coppafeel

Again beautiful and lasting friendships have been made...I cannot thank you enough Jo from The Media Room for your exquisitely beautiful friendship...for trusting me to showcase your stories with you Ami from Know Your Normal...let’s do it again please!!!!

As well as this...I have been mum to my beautiful girls and loved dearly by my beautiful man...I cannot wait to see where this year’s adventures’ will take us…

I will be shooting less weddings this year and so almost fully booked for 2017, this is so I can concentrate more on my baby Red Shoe, she is ready to fly now...taking female portraits fills me with so much love ...I am still writing a flippin photographers book {I will get it finished} and I would love to carry on holding workshops and mentoring sessions

With much love to you
